Fatality at crane yard
A man working in the yard of UK crawler and mobile crane distributor and rental company AGD Equipment, died after suffering a serious head injury last Wednesday.
The man, 49, was apparently struck by a piece of steel which broke away from a check valve while carrying out maintenance at the company’s yard in Stratford on Avon. He was airlifted to hospital but died shortly after arrival.
A joint investigation into what happened has been launched by Warwickshire Police and the Health and Safety Executive in conjunction with the company.
