Paul Brown retirement take two

Paul Brown of Tadano has officially retired, for the second time after 30 years with the company, and over 40 years in the crane industry.

Brown had previously retired in February 2014, but returned on to Tadano on a part time basis in August 2017, in particular to help with sales in Italy. This time though, he insists he has really called it a day.

Paul Brown

Born in Glasgow in 1948, he has lived and worked in Italy and Germany and started out in the crane industry in 1977 with P&H in Italy and then Dortmund, Germany. He joined Faun in 1989, and just a year later it was acquired by Tadano where he has been ever since. A keen birdwatcher, cyclist and hiker, he hopes these will keep his mind off cranes.

All of us at the Vertikal Press wish him long and happy second retirement, and hope to see him attending Vertikal Days as a visitor in the future – just for the social aspect of course.

Paul, It was great chatting to you at Bauma. We hadn't talked much over the years as Competitors which is a pity. I was speaking to one of Tadanos young Salesman(a personal friend) and he thinks you are great, but he thinks I am as well!! You have a great knowledge of Cranes and its Customers and it will be no doubt missed. Enjoy your retirement. Barry Barnes
