French aerial lift manufacturer Haulotte held a customer event at its UK facility last week to mark its 40th anniversary.
A tour of the facility was included for all attendees
Customers and suppliers attended from across the UK to visit the facility, view the latest platform demonstrations and learn about technology developments, including the Fastn harness attachment safety system and Sherpal telematics for fleet management.
Haulotte’s Europe & Africa marketing manager Ludivine Beraud, demonstrated the Fastn which can be installed on any brand of lift, and said: “sales of the system in the UK have been very good.”

Marina Robardey, customer leader for telematics at Haulotte in France, presented developments to the Sherpal fleet management system and conducted meetings with rental fleet customers over a traditional English lunch of fish and chips.
They abound
Eric L. : YES, exactly for that. Workshops and building sites don't really pose any risk at all, but they insist you wear all the gear. If YOU went to Haulotte, you'd have to. Why don't they? Some of them among those people there will be the rule makers and enforcers for others. Lead by example? Hah! Hahaha!#

They abound : PPE for what ? A static display of machines ? What Protective is required to walk around non moving machines ? No need for vests, nothings is moving? No need for protective footwear, nothing is driving or in risk of falling. No need for hard hats, machines are not moving.
PPE is always the last solution to manage a risk. If the risk is identified and removed, then PPE becomes superfluous.
They abound
Not saying it's wrong, but there is a distinct lack of PPE on display here. Presumably these are people who insist their own employees use it? Two-faced managers?
