Mains said: “Alan’s commitment to safety and professionalism in the crane rental industry make him the ideal addition to the Mains Crane family”.

Mains Crane & Rigging was founded in 1994 by Craig Mains who died tragically last year in a motorcycle accident in California, aged 59. The company provides crane rental and lifting services to various industrial and commercial sectors including mining, oil sands, petro-chemical, pulp and paper, infrastructure, hydroelectric, and wind power.

The company, headquartered in Nisku, Alberta, runs around 80 cranes, with the largest being a 500 tonne Manitowoc crawler crane with Maxer attachment with Grove being the predominant brand. In recent years, operations have expanded into the United States as Mains Crane USA, based in Phoenix Arizona, with a branch in Fargo, North Dakota.
