As with the Baurent deal no financial details of the transaction have been disclosed.

Warmerdam was owned and managed by Gonny Warmerdam and Sander Riel, the business is being absorbed into Boels Netherlands, although Sassenheim the location will remain along with all of the staff whom we are told have transferred to Boels.

Boels employs around 2,000 and operates from almost 300 locations in nine countries - the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.

Germany’s Baurent is more of a general rental company with revenues of around €32 million, 182 employees and 29 locations, it has been in business for almost 40 years.

Pierre Boels said: "We are very happy with the acquisition of Baurent and their great customer portfolio. The acquisition is an important step forward in our growth strategy. With Baurent’s locations we have 123 branches in Germany, giving our customers a denser network and a wider product range. We plan to add a number of ‘greenfield’ locations in 2012 in order to take our German network to a total of 140 branches. "

Hiroaki Hosoya, director of Itochu Europe added: “We believe that Boels and Baurent will fit together well and that Boels has an exciting opportunity to create synergies in order to maintain profitable growth towards becoming the leading company in Germany”.
