Maclennan and de Bruijn move to LGMG
LGMG Europe has appointed Ronan Maclennan as sales manager for the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and key accounts and his colleague Erik de Bruijn as technical and product support manager. Both have moved to the company from GMG.
Maclennan began his access career in 2002 with Irish rental company Height For Hire in Dublin, becoming export sales manager. In 2008 he moved to the Netherlands, in order to help the company with its expansion plans in continental Europe. A year later however he joined Genie as used equipment sales manager. In 2014 he set himself up as an independent equipment broker, but was recruited in August 2017 by aerial lift start up GMG as sales manager for central Europe.

Talking of his move he said: “I am excited to be joining LGMG at a time when they have made a significant commitment to their European customers. LGMG may not have a long history in the local access industry, but they are a very large company with ambitious plans for the future. I am looking forward to working with our customers and seeing LGMG become a force within global access industry’’
LGMG Europe senior adviser, Hans Aarse added: “It goes without saying that we are pleased with the arrival of Ronan within our organisation, which is in a rapid development phase. He brings us an added value to experience, general product knowledge and network. Furthermore, we are naturally pleased that we can now introduce our commercial team shortly before the start of bauma 2019.”
Erik de Bruijn joined GMG European team in December to work alongside and support MacLennan. At LGMG he will be responsible for all technical issues, product support management and technical training at the European operation. Before joining GMG he worked with foundation company Woltman/PVE for a short period, following 18 months as technical manager with Runshare Europe.
