Sat Dhaiwal to advise GGR

UK crane, lifting and glass handling sales and rental company GGR has appointed ex-A-Plant chief executive, Sat Dhaiwal, as an independent advisor to the board.

The company says that the move is intended to help accelerate the company’s vision for growth and development over the next few years. Dhaiwal began his rental career with Uni Rent - part of the Wolseley group - in 1985 while still at school becoming a depot manager for the company. He joined A-Plant as a depot manager in 1993 and moved up through various regional management roles, becoming chief executive in 2002, departing in 2018.

Last year he was reported to have joined Ainscough Crane Hire as a non-executive director, although he is not listed in the latest accounts. During his term at A-Plant the company did well and he was generally well regarded both internally and externally.

Sat offers the experience to help take GGR group to the next level. His knowledge is sure to prove invaluable and the board looks forward to working with him.”

Dhaiwal added: “I am delighted to join GGR and work alongside Graeme, Gill and the management team to maximise the growth opportunities. GGR is a clear market leader in its field and has the potential to accelerate its growth over the coming years. Its customer service, industry knowledge and delivery capability sets it ahead of its competitors.”
