New industry for Mac Lennan

Netherlands based Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology has appointed access industry veteran Ronan Mac Lennan as global used equipment manager.

Mac Lennan had been with LGMG’s aerial lift division in Rotterdam since 2019 as sales manager for Ireland, the UK and Nordic countries. Sandvik Mining works with LGMG in the Netherlands and Europe in terms of distribution and support.

Ronan Mac Lennan

Mac Lennan began his access career in 2002 with Height for Hire in Ireland, initially as an export sales manager, before moving to the Netherlands in 2008 as new business development manager. He then joined Genie in early 2009 as after sales manager, later becoming used equipment manager to the region with both jobs based in the Netherlands. In 2014 he left to set up as an independent broker until he was recruited by Jim Tolle for GMG in 2017, leaving for LGMG a year and a half later.

Talking about his new post he said: "I am looking forward to learning all about a new industry and meeting lots of new faces. But I leave behind a fantastic industry full of amazing people. The aerials game has been kind to me, I have had the pleasure over the last 20 years of travelling widely and meeting brilliant co-workers, customers and competitors from all types of backgrounds. I will be able to look back in the years to come and know that I was very lucky to have worked with them all.”
