UK transport platform and hoist sales company CLM Construction Supplies has promoted Greg Dent to technical director.
Dent joined CLM in 2007 when it traded as Imer Direct and has served as technical manager for more than 15 years. The move is part of a programme at the company to expand its product range and grow, while at the same time founder and managing director Bob Hughes plans to step back from the day to day management of the business.
CLM is based in Bilston, near Wolverhampton, and distributes Maber rack and pinion lifts including a wide range of transport platforms and passenger hoists. It also offers a wide range of scaffold hoists, gantries and gin pulleys.
Director Chris Hughes said: “Greg has been part of the CLM family for over 15 years, back when we were known as Imer Direct. He has a wealth of knowledge regarding all our equipment and has developed long standing relationships with suppliers and customers alike. This year with Bob stepping away from the day to day activities of the business we feel that the company needs another director - so Greg is going to step up and we will need to recruit someone to support him.”
CLM was established in 2010 to take over sales of Imer concrete equipment and scaffold hoists, from Imer Direct which had been trading in the UK since the mid 1990s.
