100 Tadano's for Saudi

Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Company (AMHEC) has ordered 100 new 80 tonne Tadanbo GR-800EX Rough Terrain cranes, one of the largerst single orders the manufacturer has received in its 105 year history.

The crane features a five section 47.1 metre boom to which a 10.1 to 17.7 metre bi-fold swingaway extension can be added for a maximum tip height of 67 metres, while offering up to 45 degrees of offset.

Given the size of the order AMHEC managers made a special trip to the Tadano plan in Japan, with the long time Tadano distributor Saleh Abdulaziz Abahsain.

Tadano chief executive Toshiaki Ujiie, AMHEC chief executive Abdullah Faisal Al Suwaiket, and Saleh Hamad Al-Mogbil, managing director of Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain met at Tadano's Shido Plant in Kagawa, Japan - where most of its Rough Terrain cranes are built, for the first unit handover.

Toshiaki Ujiie said: We greatly appreciate Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment being such a longtime Tadano customer. Their order of 100 GR-800EX cranes demonstrates how such a partnership can continue to grow when you strive to meet and exceed expectations”

Abdullah Faisal Al Suwaiket added: “Tadano products are very good and reliable, durable, and easy to service. This is still an emerging market with a high level of competition. As we expand the fleet to address our growing needs, we always seek improvement in product quality while maintaining efficiency in prices, both for initial expenses and ongoing operating costs.”

The deliveries will be made at a steady delivery pace over the coming year, with each delivery including full service training to help AMHEC efficiently integrate the equipment into its fleet.

Established in 2007, AMHEC, based in Khobar, near Bahrain, offers services in crane rental, heavy lifting, transportation and rigging in Saudia Arabia running a fleet of 400 units.
