Brazilian rental company Milplan has taken delivery of a 130 tonne Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 Rough Terrain crane - its most powerful RT crane to date - which will primarily work in the mining sector.
The two axle LRT 1130-2.1 features a seven section 60 metre main boom, which is said to be the longest on any two axle Rough Terrain crane. It is topped with a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with offsets of up to 40 degrees and can be extended with a seven metre insert for a maximum tip height to around 88 metres. A 2.9 metre assembly jib can be stowed on the left side of the boom.

Milplan's head of logistics Victor Lott said: "The growing demand in electromechanical assembly installation was one of the key decision criteria in favour of the LRT 1130-2.1. Thanks to compact transport dimensions and the ability to move the crane with the counterweight mounted, we're able to use it in a wide range of situations with agility.”
“For the operator the crane is straightforward since all of the required functions such as steering, automatic support levelling and crane operation can be carried out comfortably from the one cab. We chose Liebherr because the equipment in our company works reliably and we have excellent customer service locally."
