Jozef Hermans was established in 1964 but can trace its roots back at least 85 years, it is based in Venlo with additional locations and specialises in factory and production line moves along with heavy machinery installation and heavy haulage. The company's equipment fleet includes, numerous heavy trucks and transporters, lifting and rigging systems, forklifts and around a dozen cranes, including pick & carry and articulated heavy lift models.
The acquisition includes both Hermans Werk and Hermans Estate with Jos Hermans remaining on board as managing director, a position he has held since 2007.
Jos Hermans said: "We have electric, remote controlled forklifts, pick & carry cranes, transport rollers, flat transport trolleys, and telescopic hydraulic gantry systems that can lift, relocate, or tilt machines and objects weighing up to 1,100 tonnes in one piece - and do so in the tightest of spaces. If needed, we also develop and build accessories for a smooth relocation."
Most of the pick & carry cranes are supplied by Galizia - these three were delivered in January
Felbermayr chief executive Horst Felbermayr added: "The Hermans warehouse, head office and machine assembly workshops are located relatively close to our facility in Krefeld, Germany and complement our service portfolio very well. We are pleased that the existing team will remain on board and that Jos Hermans continues to contribute his experience and expertise as managing director."
