Jandt hits 75

German crane rental company Jandt has celebrated its 75th anniversary in the lifting industry having been established in Bielefeld in 1950.

The anniversary will be officially celebrated in September with approximately 150 guests including employees, customers and suppliers expected to attend and visit its facility.

The family business, began as a transport and earthmoving company, but has evolved into one of the leading independent crane and transport providers in East Westphalia and southern Lower Saxony. The company now runs a fleet of 25 mobile cranes, ranging from 40 tonnes to 250 tonnes capacity as well as loader cranes.

Jandt entered the crane market in the 1960s, intially to support its other activities which include building and civil engineering, crane installtions, Steel and concrete erecting overhead power line construction, machinery moving and instalation and wind power work.
A mobile crane in action

Jandt - managed by the Diercks and Lübeck families - operates from headquarters in Bielefeld-Quelle with additional branches in Bad Salzuflen, Detmold, Gütersloh and Holzminden. The company employs 35 people across all locations. A generational change took effect at the start of January with Sven Diercks and Jens Lübeck assuming management roles and planning further company expansion.
