Grove has delivered the first two 60 tonne GMK3060L-1 All Terrain cranes to arrive in Egypt the units have been sold to two different ccusotmers but the local distributor Orascom Services is being irritatingly coy/secretive about customer names or the exact numnber of Rough Terrains delivered to each.
The three axle GMK3060L-1 features a seven section 48 metre main boom plus an 8.7 to 15 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for a maximum on board tip height of 65 metres. The crane can also travel with up to 7.5 tonnes of counterweight within 12 tonne axle loadings. The units will be based at a refinery project in northeastern Cairo, supporting the construction of refining infrastructure, including installation of oil pumps and pipelines.
The 60 tonne Grove GMK3060L-1
The RT530E-2 has a 29 metre main boom and a 7.9 to 13.7 metre telescopic swingaway to offer a maximum tip height of 44.5 metres. The units are currently working on a large agricultural initiative in Upper Egypt to convert arid land into farmland, lifting water pumps and pivot irrigation systems vital to the project.
The 30 tonne RT530E-2's
