Sinoboom and Pinnacle part company

Sinoboom and one of its UK distributors, Pinnacle Platforms, have agreed to end their partnership and distribution agreement.

The manufacturer’s UK distribution subsidiary - Sinoboom UK - will take over from Pinnacle, while all of Pinnacle’s Sinoboom related staff have been offered positions with Sinoboom UK. Pinnacle managing director Tim White will also remain on board in a consultancy role.

Sinoboom’s UK general manager John Chandler said: “We sincerely thank Pinnacle Platforms for their dedication, professionalism and hard work over the past five years. Their efforts in growing our brand boosting sales and embodying our values have been invaluable. We look forward to building on these achievements moving forwards and enhance our support to UK market and customers.”

Tim White of Pinnacle added: “As Pinnacle celebrates nearly five successful years working with Sinoboom we reflect on the remarkable growth in our product range and mutual progress achieved during this time. We appreciate synonyms ongoing support and the smooth integration of the pinnacle staff into Sinoboom UK.

“For our existing customers the high level of support for Sinoboom products won't change. You continue working with the same trusted team with access to larger stock of equipment and expanded resources. We are proud of what we have accomplished and see this transition as a natural step. I'm excited for what the future holds for Sinoboom UK.”

Pinnacle UK is located in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, and was established by Tim White and Wayne Lawson in late 2020, with the main aim of taking on the UK distribution for the Chinese manufacturer – since then it has had a great deal of success, thanks the two’s contacts and in stock availability at a time when most of the established players had cut back and extended their lead times.

When Sinoboom announced that it was setting up an operation in the UK last year it seemed inevitable that this day would eventually come. It has possibly been delayed by the work of finding premises and senior management changes at Sinoboom Europe, along with some debate between its distributors.

It therefore not come as a major surprise to most UK customers and rental companies.
