The new lift features a maximum working height of 6.5 metres indoor and 4.5 metres outdoor with a maximum platform capacity of 230kg, or one person. It features a 600mm roll-out deck and, when stowed, has an overall length of 1.45 metres, an overall width of 790mm and is two metres high. Its overall weight is 820kg. The lift uses electric actuators in place of hydraulic cylinders for lift and steer and direct drive AC motors to drive the tracks, and thus requires no pump, no oil tank and no hoses.

The new machine is aimed at work in environments such as clean rooms or data centres, or in applications such as food production, or areas with sensitive floor surfaces where lower point loadings, thanks to the rubber tracks, tend to be gentler on floors than wheels, at least when travelling in a straight line.

The track drive is also pretty good on soft or uneven ground

Sinoboom product manager Peter Peng said: "The 0407ET was developed in response to increasing customer demand for highly adaptable and agile scissor lifts that have minimal impact on sensitive indoor workspaces, but can also handle more challenging terrain outdoors. It is equipped with an electric lift actuator instead of a hydraulic cylinder and a low maintenance AC drive motor. The entire machine is hydraulic oil free, making it ideal for emission sensitive working scenarios where oil leaks would pose critical challenges.”
