Haulotte has appointed André Wiemeyer as Geschäftsführer/managing director of Haulotte Hubarbeitsbühnen, its German sales and service operation.
André Wiemeyer
In his new role he will oversee all of Haulotte’s operations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. His brief is to strengthen service support and customer services across the region in order to build sales and share of market. He takes over from Thomas Wegeler, who has managed the subsidiary since the start of 2000.
Wiemeyer joins the company from Lotz Hydraulics where he has held a similar role for the past six years. He began his career, however, in 1999 in a field service role for tunnel boring machine specialist Herrenknecht. After more than 13 years in the role, he moved to Tadano Faun -as it was then known – in Lauf, where he became a general manager.
In 2015 he left Tadano for grinding machine manufacturer Junker where he was appointed chief customer service officer. Three and a half years later, he accepted an offer to join the production machinery manufacturer Kaltenbach as head of global service. And at the start of 2020 made the move to Lotz.
European managing director Guillaume Van Hoeck said: “Since 1997, Haulotte’s fully owned German subsidiary based in Eschbach has been supporting the German speaking market. It is a strategic region with a large installed Haulotte fleet and long standing rental partners who expect first class support. André’s extensive experience in both industrial management and service excellence will help us accelerate our transformation, strengthen customer proximity, and further enhance our value proposition in the region.”
Wiemeyer added: “Haulotte is a strong brand with loyal partners and passionate teams. My priority will be to build on these strengths and align our organisation even more closely with customer expectations – ensuring reliability, responsiveness, and added value in every interaction.”
