First 90t Liebherr RT for Scotland

Scottish rental company Bernard Hunter has taken delivery of a 90 tonne Liebherr LRT 1090-2.1 Rough Terrain, the first to arrive in Scotland.

The two axle LRT 1090-2.1, ordered earlier this year, features a 47 metre main boom and a 10.5 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 40 degrees of offset. It comes standard with the Liebherr VarioBase variable outrigger base with monitoring and automatic load chart creation to suit the set up, along with a wide tilting cab.

Bernard Hunter managing director Mark Rafferty added: “The addition of the LRT 1090-2.1 adds a whole new offering to our versatile fleet of modern cranes, as we seek to offer our customers a complete range of lifting services.”

Established in 1946, Bernard Hunter runs a fleet of mobile cranes ranging from a 12 tonne Böcker truck crane to a 700 tonne Liebherr LTM 1650-8.1 AT as well as four and six axle Spierings mobile self-erecting tower cranes, Maeda spider and mini crawler cranes, tracked carriers, glass handling equipment and telehandlers topped by the 16,000kg/10 metre Manitou MHT-10160. The company also provides in-house operator training.
